AMEB (NSW) presents twelve awards that recognise excellence in teaching.

These awards are grouped according to Junior (Preliminary to Grade 6) or Senior (Grade 7 to Licentiate) exam results for most categories, with the exception of Written, Speech and Drama and the NESA-accredited Schools categories.
