Options for most practical exams include the Comprehensive and Repertoire formats. Visit the Subjects section of our website (www.ameb.nsw.edu.au/subjects) before you pay for your enrolment. This will ensure that you choose the correct subject code for each of your candidates and avoid any additional fees or nasty surprises on their exam day.
Purchase exam resources
Teachers and parents can purchase exam resources while enrolling by clicking on the Buy Products icon in AMEB Connect.
Check student availability
Enrollers should remember to check their students' diaries BEFORE enrolling for any dates that might need to be avoided during their examination period.
Email AMEB (NSW) policies
Teachers are encouraged to email the AMEB (NSW) Policies to candidates so they are clear about the enrolment process and the timelines involved.
Saturday exams
When enrolling, AMEB (NSW) offers the choice of weekdays or Saturdays. Weekday exams offer a quieter and more relaxed environment, which can help put your exam candidates at ease. Saturdays are the busiest day of the exam week. Saturday requests cannot be guaranteed because of the high demand. To avoid the disappointment of not having your Saturday exam request met:
- request a Saturday earlier in the exam session
- list other possible options in the scheduling request box - for example "Prefer Saturday but Monday or Wednesday afternoons are possible".
