Kurt Ison studied for his Bachelor of Music and Graduate Diploma Music Performance at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, where he studied both organ and singing. He has also achieved his LTCL and AMusA for singing.

As an organist, Kurt has performed solo concerts at Notre Dame de Paris, Westminster Abbey and St Paul’s Cathedral London, St Thomas’s fifth Avenue, NYC and Washington National Cathedral, USA and Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall, as well as many European international organ festivals. He has undertaken post-graduate private lessons in Paris, Versailles and Bologna with leading European pedagogues and taken multiple field trips to historic organs in Europe.

Kurt has had many years of experience as an organ teacher for adult students, as well as in leading private schools. He has a particular specialisation in the complexities of performance practise in French baroque keyboard music.
