Jodie Ring studied music at the University of Sydney, majoring in piano performance. She undertook postgraduate studies in Moscow and New York.

Ms Ring has participated in masterclasses and given recitals in Russia, the United States, France and London. She has made recordings for ABC Radio and 2MBS-FM.

For more than 25 years, Ms Ring has been teaching piano and musicianship and working as an accompanist both privately and in schools. She has been an accompanist and teacher at Camden School of the Arts in Philadelphia, lecturer in piano at the Wesley Institute for Ministry and the Arts in Sydney, and coordinator of performance studies at Kambala in Rose Bay.

Ms Ring has adjudicated eisteddfods and presented workshops throughout rural New South Wales. She currently works as an accompanist and teacher at Frensham in the Southern Highlands.
