Jocelyn Fazzone has been teaching flute at the Sydney Conservatorium since 2000. She also teaches at UNSW and has previously taught at Wesley Institute, Excelsia College and the Australian International Conservatorium of Music.
Mrs Fazzone has performed with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, the Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra, the Tasmanian Orchestra and the Queensland Symphony Orchestra. She has recorded for ABC and Fine Music and is a founding member of Windfall Sextet. As well as being a regular chamber music tutor for ACMS, she often works as a collaborative pianist with Australia’s leading flute players.
A founding partner of Fluteworthy, which is dedicated to creating and publishing source materials for the flute, Mrs Fazzone has co-authored a teaching method book, a technical routines book, a collection of studies, and three flute repertoire books. She appears on four CDs featuring flute music, including Australian and Romantic works.
Mrs Fazzone has been involved in organising school band programs in northern Sydney. She is currently involved in Sunday afternoon recitals at the Beecroft Uniting Church.
