Amy Hume is a voice tutor at the National Institute of Dramatic Art, a voice and accents tutor at the Australian Theatre for Young People, and the founder of one of Sydney’s leading voice studios, Viva Voice.

Ms Hume works regularly as a dialect coach, most recently for the Ensemble Theatre’s The Norman Conquests, Shirley Valentine and The Kitchen Sink. She was also dialect coach for the Belvoir St Theatre’s Sami in Paradise and provided voice support for the Belvoir’s The Rover and Ghosts. Her other theatre credits include voice and dialect coach at the Sydney production of Matilda the Musical (Royal Shakespeare Company), voice coach for Measure for Measure and The Servant of Two Masters (Sport for Jove), and dialect coach for Stones in His Pockets (Critical Stages). In New York, Ms Hume has worked on productions with Shakespeare & Co, the Shakespeare Forum and Columbia Stages.

Through Viva Voice, Ms Hume regularly facilitates corporate voice and communication training across different industries. A Designated Linklater Teacher, she has given conference presentations on voice pedagogies both in Australia and overseas
