Nicholas Russoniello has a diverse practice as a saxophonist, composer and educator, both in Australia and internationally. He has received several major awards, including the ABC Symphony Australia Young Performer of the Year Award and the Fine Music Kruger Scholarship.

Mr Russoniello has appeared as a soloist with the Adelaide, Queensland, Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney Symphony Orchestras and as a guest musician with the Australian World Orchestra and the Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra. He performs regularly with the Moorambilla Voices.

In 2019, Mr Russoniello was a guest composer-in-residence at the Conservatoire de Strasbourg. He also toured Europe, performing his music at the Royal College of Music in London and the Conservatorio di Musica G Verdi in Milan.

With more than 15 years of experience as a saxophone and clarinet teacher, Mr Russoniello has presented guest classes at the Sydney Conservatorium, the Melbourne Conservatorium, Queensland University and the Saxophone Academy Sydney Summer School.

Mr Russoniello is currently a composition tutor at the Sydney Conservatorium and a saxophone tutor at several Sydney schools. His original compositions have been performed widely in Australia and abroad.
