Saxophonist Melinda Atkins has extensive experience as both a performer and a teacher, including internationally. Ms Atkins has recorded for radio and television and has been a casual member of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and the Sydney Opera and Ballet Orchestra. She has also performed with big bands, commercial rock bands and chamber groups.

Ms Atkins is a member of the part-time casual staff at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, where she teaches saxophone and takes ensembles. She has also taught at many private schools, including The Kings School, Newington College, SCEGGS Darlinghurst and St Andrew’s Cathedral School.

For more than 25 years, Ms Atkins has maintained a private teaching studio.
