BA, DipEd, AMusA, TMusA

Lynette Morgan studied piano with Raymond Fisher and Nea de Mestre before continuing her music studies at the University of Sydney under luminaries including Peter Sculthorpe, Doreen Bridges and Donald Peart. After graduating, she undertook further study with Nancy Salas and developed a keen interest in piano pedagogy. Ms Morgan earned her music teaching diploma with distinction in all sections. During this period, she also pursued advanced studies in performance and repertoire.

Ms Morgan has been an AMEB examiner in piano for 30 years. As a member of the overseas examining panel, she tutored and presented masterclasses in New Zealand, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia for students ranging from preliminary to licentiate levels. In addition, Ms Morgan was appointed to the Written Examination panel and served as a federal examiner in this area. She is also a federal examiner in all practical subjects. Ms Morgan is also a former examiner representative on the AMEB (NSW) Board.

As well as running a teaching practice and examining throughout Australia, Ms Morgan conducts workshops and provides coaching and exam preparation for HSC students. She enjoys sharing her pedagogical knowledge and experience and her sight-reading skills.

With a particular interest in collaborative piano work, Ms Morgan is a member of accompanist panels for groups including the Sydney Eisteddfod. She is in high demand as an adjudicator at competitions around Australia.
