Leonard Metcalf completed his university studies and two piano diploma examinations in Sydney with Lyall Duke. He furthered his studies in Vienna at the Konservatorium, studying vocal accompaniment with David Lutz and solo piano privately with Regina Seidlhofer.

Mr Metcalf performed as a piano accompanist in Vienna and surrounding areas, as well as in Hungary, including with soloists from the Konservatorium and the Children’s Choir of the American International School Vienna. He also participated in a piano masterclass in Finland.

After returning to Australia, Mr Metcalf established a private studio in Mosman. He also teaches at St Aloysius’ College.

Mr Metcalf is an experienced choir conductor and church organist. He continues to instruct and guide young musicians as a teacher and piano accompanist.
