After studying at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music under Alexander Sverjensky, Grant Foster spent seven years in Paris studying under Marcel Ciampi.

Mr Foster has performed and recorded extensively, including both the standard concert repertoire and his own compositions. In London, he was commissioned to compose the music for Peter Pan, which ran for seven consecutive years. His recordings include Rhapsody for Piano and Orchestra: War, Peace, Love with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra for EMI and a series of four CDs recorded at Abbey Road Studios for Harrods.

A regular judge at the prestigious Jaques Samuel Piano Competition in London, Mr Foster also teaches and conducts masterclasses in Sydney, Melbourne and London. He continues to foster the development of musical talent with an emphasis on technique and interpretative depth, as well as the development of compositional skills.
