Adrienne Alexander has studied and performed in London and Paris. She has both a bachelor's and master’s degree in Music Education and has studied music therapy at UTS Kuring-Gai and the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music.
Ms Alexander has been a music educator for more than 30 years. She has taught at many schools and private studios, including the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre, Loreto Normanhurst and Northholm Grammar School. Ms Alexander currently runs the woodwind program at Lorien Novalis School for Rudolf Steiner Education. The program includes many aspects of music education, including classroom music teaching and early music recorder consorts. She has also just released a book of original vocal and recorder pieces for children.
For almost 30 years, Ms Alexander has worked as a freelance soloist and in musical theatre. She has published articles in several music journals and has been featured on two jazz CD recordings. Ms Alexander has also been an adjudicator for eisteddfods and instrumental competitions. Ms Alexander has an interest in the therapeutic value of music and is currently completing a Diploma in Integrated Arts Therapy.
