Noel Cislowski AM studied speech, drama and singing at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

Mr Cislowski has been a teacher of gifted and talented students in both Queensland and New South Wales. He was an adviser in speech and drama for the NSW Department of Education before being appointed Head of the Speech and Drama Branch and Leader of the Creative and Practical Arts team in curriculum development. Mr Cislowski has lectured in drama, music and mathematics at the Australian School of Pacific Administration, the University of New South Wales, Macquarie University and the Australian Catholic University. He has been a private teacher and coach in speech and drama and in voice.

As a performer, Mr Cislowski has played lead roles in musical comedy and has also acted with theatre groups in both Queensland and New South Wales. He has appeared with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra in both singing and speaking solo performances.

Mr Cislowski has adjudicated in speech, drama, vocals and instrumental performance in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, Tasmania, the Australian Capital Territory, the Northern Territory and New Zealand.

In 2016, Mr Cislowski was appointed as a Member of the Order of Australia for his service to the performing arts. In the same year, he was named Willoughby Citizen of the Year. In recognition of his work on stage productions with school students in the Sydney Town Hall and the Sydney Opera House, Mr Cislowski was awarded the Red Cross Medal for Meritorious Service. He received the RSL Special Award for his work in preparing student speakers for the Anzac Service over a period of 20 years.
