At the annual Sydney Guitar Summer School, he has performed in chamber ensembles with visiting virtuosi including Vincent Lindsey-Clark (UK), Denis Azabagic (USA), Simon Powis (USA) and William Kanengiser (USA). He regularly conducts guitar ensembles in the community and inside schools and currently runs four ensembles at Sydney Grammar School.

Mr Keane is an organising tutor for the Sydney Guitar Summer School, which, over the last 25 years, has established itself as one of the major educational music festivals in Australasia.
