Hana Ahn is a concert pianist and music educator with over 25 years of experience in teaching piano and music theory. After obtaining her bachelor’s degree in music (performance) under Associate Professor Gerard Willems AM at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, she completed her master’s degree in music at the University of New South Wales with Dr Christine Logan. She also completed her AMusA and LMusA in pianoforte.

As a concert pianist, Mrs Ahn has given numerous solo recitals, solo concertos, and two-piano and chamber music concerts at national and international venues, including Tokyo Art Space, the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Town Hall. She has also performed for SBS Radio and 2MBS-FM Radio on multiple occasions. Mrs Ahn was regularly involved in official events organised by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Sydney.

Since 1992, Mrs Ahn has been a music educator. She has worked at Tara Anglican School for Girls, the King’s School, Hunters Hill High School and Ryde Secondary College as a piano tutor, an accompanist and an adjudicator. She joined the University of New South Wales as a piano tutor in 2005.

Currently, Mrs Ahn enjoys teaching at her busy music studio and providing masterclasses and adjudication at schools while fostering the next generation of Australian musicians.
