Sheau-Fang Low studied violin under Shi-Xiang (Peter) Zhang, Alice Waten, Charmain Gadd and Semyon Kobets. Her experience in string pedagogy includes a variety of approaches from notable teachers such as Janet Davies (Alexander Technique) and Géza Szilvay (Colourstrings).

Ms Low has taught in both public and private schools, from beginner string programs through to HSC extension music performance. For more than 20 years, her private studio has included students ranging from preschool to university. Having studied with master teachers, Ms Low is passionately interested in violin pedagogy. She has given presentations on diverse aspects of violin teaching in workshops and conferences, including the Investigating Music Performance Conference (London), the International Workshop (Brisbane), the Australian Violin Pedagogy Conference (Sydney) and the Australian Strings Association (AUSTA) National Conference (Perth).

Ms Low is certified by the Suzuki Talent Education Association (Violin) and Dalcroze Australia. She has been a member of AUSTA, Dalcroze Australia and the Australian Society of Music Education for more than 20 years. She is the founding committee member and director of the junior summer school of the Australian Strings Academy, where she has assisted in organising three successful summer schools. She has also taught in various music camps, including the residential summer string camp in Tasmania.

A longstanding member of the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra, Ms Low remains active in violin performance.
