Janice Squire earned her qualifications in both performance and music education at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music.
A soloist with the Astra Chamber Orchestra in Melbourne, Mrs Squire has also performed in many community orchestras and chamber music ensembles. She has extensive experience in music theatre, including in the role of musical director.
Mrs Squire has taught flute extensively for many years. In addition to tutoring for community bands, she is experienced in classroom music teaching. She has also conducted student orchestras and flute ensembles, including at St Andrew’s Cathedral School in Sydney and currently at William Clarke College in Kellyville.
A member of the Sydney Flute Society and an inaugural member of the Victorian Flute Guild, Mrs Squire participates in Australian National Flute Conventions. She has adjudicated the Leslie Barklamb Scholarship in Victoria.
