  • Theory of Music - Grades 5 and 6
  • Theory of Music - Licentiate Diploma (Musicology)
  • Musicianship - Grades 5 and 6

Changes for paper-based written exams

From 2020, AMEB will be making changes to the way it offers paper-based exams. The August written session will only be available for Speech and Performance Theory exams.

Paper-based exams will be made available on an "on application" basis for all grades of Theory of Music exams.

Notice of Withdrawal - CPM
 15-11-2018

From 1 January 2021 the following syllabuses will no longer be available for examination:

  • CPM (Bass)
  • CPM (Guitar)
  • CPM (Vocal)
  • CPM (Revised Keyboard) and
  • CPM (Drum Kit)

These syllabuses will not be directly replaced, so 2020 is the final year that candidates may sit for an AMEB practical examination in CPM (Contemporary Popular Music).

Notice of Withdrawal - Drama and Performance

From 1 January 2021 the Drama and Performance syllabuses will no longer be available for examination.
