Louise Johnson studied harp at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and the Cleveland Institute of Music.
Since 1985, Ms Johnson has been Principal Harp with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and harp teacher at the Sydney Conservatorium, where she also tutors in orchestral studies and chamber music. She is also harp tutor for the Australian Youth Orchestra.
Ms Johnson participates in the World Harp Congress and is Co-Music Director of the Roseville Music Club. She is the founder and director of Harp Holiday, a week-long harp camp that brings together harpists of all ages and abilities for a community concert.
