Saantwana Lentz studied clarinet in Sydney with Kevin Murphy and Gabor Reeves, gaining her bachelor’s degree from the Sydney Conservatorium. She was awarded a scholarship by the German government and pursued a Solistendiplom with Hans Deinzer at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hanover.

Mrs Lentz has performed extensively in Australia and overseas as a soloist and as a chamber and orchestral musician. She performs with several ensembles in Sydney.

For more than 35 years, Mrs Lentz has taught students from beginner to tertiary levels. In addition to classroom teaching, she is experienced in private specialist instrumental tuition and ensemble direction.

Mrs Lentz is regularly invited to adjudicate and to participate in assessment panels.
