Deborah Coogan has performed as a casual cellist with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, the Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra, and the Australian Chamber Orchestra. She has toured Australia and Japan with various orchestras.

For eight years, Ms Coogan performed with the string quartet Crisantemi for Musica Viva. She has also performed chamber music with Halcyon, the Glenaeon Piano Quartet and the Continuo Plus Baroque ensemble. She now performs with the Three Piece Suite string trio.

For the past 37 years, Ms Coogan has taught both cello and piano in her private studio. She has also taught at schools including St Ignatius, St Joseph’s, Monte Sant’ Angelo, Queenwood and Villa Maria. She currently teaches in both Sydney and Blackheath.
