This will be a workshop of practical advice to assist teachers and students of all instruments who are preparing for Associate and Licentiate Diploma exams.
Emeritus Professor David Lockett AM, AMEB Federal Chief Examiner, will discuss the AMEB syllabus objectives, and musical excerpts will be presented to demonstrate where and how technique could be improved.
The General Knowledge requirements have been changed slightly since 2019. The important General Knowledge section will be put under the microscope to guide teachers and their students how to best prepare for the depth of knowledge that is expected in Associate and Licentiate examinations.
Attendees will gain clarity regarding the syllabus objectives and diploma report comments. Teachers and students will leave with a deeper understanding of the expectations at the diploma level as well as helpful advice to help candidates to lift their performance standard to the next level.
