Amanda Miller holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music, earning distinctions in performance in both. She has studied with Elizabeth Powell, Lyle Duke and Margaret Hair, as well as with world-renowned concert pianist Lev Vlassenko during his Australian visits.
As a student, Ms Miller has performed in masterclasses conducted by Boris Birman, Christina Ortiz, Leslie Howard, Christopher Elton, Oleg Stjepanovic, Nelita True and Lara Vogt. As a performer, she has given solo recitals for the Australian Institute of Music, the Australian Keyboard Society, the Travis Foundation, and Pan Pacific Music Camps. She has worked with choirs and orchestras for decades, often appearing as a soloist.
Ms Miller currently collaborates with Dutch tenor Koen van Stade, with whom she frequently performs. They were featured soloists in the Resonance Concert Series in summer 2017.
In addition to her work as a performer, Ms Miller is an experienced teacher. She has tutored for the Young Musicians Program at the Australian Institute of Music and in the Open Academy at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Ms Miller currently holds a staff position as Music Master (Accompanist and Tutor) at Sydney Grammar School. She also directs a private studio in Wahroonga.
