Presentation Ceremony 2008
On March 9th, the AMEB (NSW) held its annual presentation of Diplomas and higher certificates.
This year, 27 candidates received awards in our Speech and Drama categories and 140 candidates received an AMusA, ATMusA or LMusA award for their achievements in Music during 2007.
These awards were presented by Federal Examiner and acclaimed pianist, Wendy Lorenz, in front of an audience of over 800 in the Sir John Clancy Auditorium at the University of New South Wales. Shields were also presented to teachers of excellence in nine different categories and to AMEB examiner, Frances Bell, to commemorate 25 years of examining.
Musical and Speech and Drama performances by some of the year’s most outstanding awardees were enjoyed throughout the ceremony. As a delightful addition to festivities, outstanding CPM (Contemporary Popular Music) candidates also entertained guests before and after the ceremony.
