Provisional Enrolments

Candidates needing an additional requirement of a written component in order to complete their Sixth, Seventh or Eighth Grade, AMusA or LMusA examination, and who enrol in the May series of written examinations, may submit a Provisional Enrolment for the same grade and syllabus for the August series as a safeguard against an unsatisfactory result on the first attempt. This also applies to Speech and Drama candidates who require prerequisites in order to enrol for CSCA, ASDA, LSDA or FSDA practical examinations. In the event that the candidate is successful in the first series, a full refund (less $20.00 administration fee) will be issued provided we receive written notification of the withdrawal by 23 July, 2004. Enrolments for both series must be made at the same time by the closing date for the May written examinations, and the August enrolment must be clearly marked Provisional Enrolment.

Please note that the results of the May written examinations will not be known until after the closing date for enrolments for the August written examinations. There is no time limit on the attainment of the Additional Requirements for the grade examinations and they may be completed before or after the practical examination. However until the additional requirements are met the Certificate for the practical examination will not be issued. The Additional Requirements for Associate and Licentiate examinations must be completed by the end of the next calendar year following the completion of the diploma examination.

No provisional enrolments will be accepted except in the circumstances outlined above.
