Anthony van den Broek completed his music tertiary studies at University of New South Wales and studied piano with the concert pianist Julie Adam.

Anthony is an active soloist and chamber musician and is in demand as a lecturer in pedagogy, technique and music history. He has taught piano and music theory subjects privately for 20 years in Australia and overseas and continues to be in demand for as a teacher for all levels from beginner to diploma (performing and teaching). His students have had excellent results, including HSC students that have been selected for Encore.

Anthony continues to study piano pedagogy in the USA at the Golandsky Institute under John Bloomfield, Edna Golandsky and Dr Therese Milanovic. In particular, he is interested in the research of renowned twentieth century pedagogue Dorothy Taubman. Anthony is sought after for consultations in the Taubman Approach and has retrained many pianists with playing related injuries and technical limitations.

Each year, Anthony attends the Golandsky Institute Piano Pedagogy Summer Symposium at Princeton University and was admitted as a member of the Professional Training Program.
