Lynette Morgan

Lynette Morgan studied piano with Raymond Fisher, Nea de Mestre and Nancy Salas. Her tertiary studies were completed at the University of Sydney, majoring in Music and French and studying under Donald Peart, Doreen Bridges, Eric Gross and Peter Sculthorpe. She has taught piano and theoretical subjects privately for more than 50 years in Australia and overseas and continues to be one of Sydney’s leading teachers, in high demand for all levels from Preliminary to Diploma (both performing and teaching).

She has wide experience adjudicating at eisteddfods and music festivals throughout Australia and maintains a high profile as a performer in her roles as accompanist and chamber musician. She has been examining for the AMEB for over 25 years (including tours to Thailand, Malaysia and New Zealand).

Lyn also keeps busy as a consultant and conducting workshops throughout the state for various music teachers’ associations. She is, additionally, one of a select group of examiners who train and mentor new examiners and has been a federal examiner for written subjects. She is currently an AMEB Board member, and Federal examiner for practical subjects.
