Judith Malone

Judith Malone is an accredited teacher of classical voice with over thirty years’ teaching experience. She is a graduate of the University of Sydney in both Music and English Language, and her work in phonetics and linguistics has been an asset in performing and teaching the international vocal repertoire. Her work has been enriched by mentors, and she has made study trips overseas to broaden her experience.

Judith’s students have achieved considerable success in opera, musical theatre, composition, conducting and music teaching. As head of the Voice Department at the Central Coast Conservatorium of Music, her students dominated vocal eisteddfods, winning the Central Coast Operatic Aria numerous times, as well as other awards and scholarships.

Judith's performing credits include Opera Ensemble, Sydney Metropolitan Opera, The National Lieder Society, Gilbert and Sullivan Society, Gosford Philharmonia Orchestra, Central Coast Conservatorium Orchestra, Willoughby Symphony Orchestra, Chatswood Musical Society and numerous music clubs and societies across NSW.

In addition to her work in opera, operetta, oratorio, and art song, she has a special interest in Spanish song, and was the first Australian singer to perform at the Barcelona Festival of Song in 2014. She is currently consulting with leaders in this field to further her research, and has presented papers on Australian and Spanish song.

Her expertise is sought for adjudication at major eisteddfods in NSW, QLD and the ACT, in classical, musical theatre and popular styles.

Judith has been an AMEB examiner since 2003.
