Cassandra Lagettie

LMusA, BME (Sydney Conservatorium of Music)

Examiner Number: 1174

Cassandra Lagettie graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 1991 with a Bachelor of Music Education and Distinction in Singing. While undertaking this four-year degree, she was a member of the Sydney Conservatorium Chorale and performed as a soloist in and around Sydney and on tour in South East Asia in 1989. She performed briefly with the Sydney Philharmonia Choir in 1995.

In 1993 Cassandra was awarded her Licentiate in Music, Australia (Singing) by the AMEB.

For the past twenty years, Cassandra has run a large, successful singing studio, teaching students from all walks of life, from beginners to professional singers. Many of her students have gone on to careers in music: some graduating from tertiary institutions both within Australia and overseas; and others have performed on national television. She has been successfully entering singing candidates in AMEB exams for over two decades and also specialises in singing training for HSC (NSW) Music Performance exams. Her ongoing interests include the teenage voice, vocal health, remedial training/voice repair and vocal longevity.

Alongside her teaching career, Cassandra has also maintained a performer profile, singing as a soloist at many local events, with touring artists, in ensembles and in her annual studio concert.
