Margaret Greig

Margaret has extensive experience in teaching piano and theory/musicianship. She completed a teaching degree at Sydney University and graduated in Creative and Performing Arts at UNSW. She has also studied Management and business marketing. Margaret dabbles with violin, flute, guitar, ukelele and saxophone in her spare time. She especially loves playing piano duets for four hands and travels regularly to USA to perform with her duet partner at private concerts.

Prior to taking on the ownership and management of a large music school in the northern suburbs, Margaret was a school teacher, who initially worked in the area of special education before moving into a specialist music teaching role, particularly within infants and primary school departments. She also served as a district music coordinator in the Hills area. Margaret was acknowledged as a Teacher of Excellence during her teaching career for her services in music education.

Margaret has extensive experience in training and conducting choirs, school bands and instrumental ensembles, often arranging or composing music. She was a producer, conductor and/or accompanist for combined schools music and arts festivals in Northern Beaches, Northern Suburbs and Hills school districts.

Presently Margaret teaches, manages school operations and provides training and mentoring to her staff. In addition she is a regular accompanist for eisteddfods and examinations. She completed her Masters of Arts/Music Therapy at UTS in 2012.
