Jocelyn Fazzone

Jocelyn Fazzone is one of Australia’s leading flute teachers, and currently teaches at the Sydney Conservatorium, Excelsia College, UNSW and in her large private studio practice. She has received ten AMEB teaching shields since 2004 for attaining the top student results in AMEB exams. Her students attain a wide variety of success in competitions and eisteddfods, HSC merit awards, orchestral auditions, and Australian and international tertiary auditions.

Jocelyn studied the flute at Sydney University, the Conservatoire de Musique (Geneva, Switzerland) and John’s Hopkins University (USA), under several of the world’s most renowned flautists.

Jocelyn is the current Woodwind Category Advisor to the AMEB, an AMEB Federal Examiner, a dedicated committee member of the Flute Society of NSW, and an active performer of chamber music on both flute and piano. She has several CD recordings, music publications and pedagogical works published to date. Jocelyn appears frequently as presenter of workshops and masterclasses throughout the country. Her career has also encompassed orchestral playing with such orchestras as the SSO, AOBO, QSO and TSO, radio broadcasts, teacher mentoring, competition adjudication and research.
