Bradley Evans

Bradley Evans’ first teacher in Sydney was Annette Erskine-Smith. He completed his Bachelor of Music at the Sydney Conservatorium in 1981, where he studied with Elizabeth Powell. In 1982, he was the NSW state winner and Commonwealth finalist in the ABC Concerto Competition and winner of the inaugural Yamaha National Piano Competition. A Queen Elizabeth Silver Jubilee Award enabled him to continue studies in London with Benjamin Kaplan, where he was a prize winner in the Overseas League Competition. In 1989 he completed his Graduate Diploma in Accompaniment at the Sydney Conservatorium, studying with David Miller.

From 1991 to 2001 he lived and taught in Germany, where he frequently performed in a two-piano duo with Hugo Seebach.

Since returning to Australia in 2001, Bradley taught at the Conservatorium Access Centre, St Catherine’s, Waverley and is presently teaching at Sydney Grammar School. He also has a thriving private teaching studio.

Bradley won the 2012 AMEB (NSW) Shield (7th Grade to Licentiate) for outstanding teaching.
