Jennifer Binovec

Jenny Binovec graduated from Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 2004 with Dean’s Honours and achieved the highest mark ever awarded to a clarinet major for her final recital. While there she performed regularly with the Conservatorium’s major ensembles. As a member of the Chamber Orchestra, Jenny toured Uruguay and Argentina in 2002 and regularly performed with the Symphony and Opera Orchestra with both local and overseas artists. She has also performed with the New Zealand Opera Orchestra. Jenny has been actively involved in chamber music, frequently performing at various events and festivals throughout NSW.

After graduating, Jenny spent two years based in Coonabarabran in regional NSW. There she expanded and diversified her teaching skills, being called on to teach all woodwind and brass instruments and also conducted the primary school bands, the town bands, initiated saxophone and clarinet ensembles and ran numerous and varied ensembles and workshops for students of all ages.

For several years now Jenny has been examining for the Australian Music Examinations Board and enjoys the opportunities that come from this.

Drawn to adventure and the unknown, Jenny moved to Prague, Czech Republic in 2012 and spent three and a half years teaching, performing and travelling extensively throughout Europe and beyond. Jenny has now returned to teach clarinet and saxophone at the Riverina Conservatorium in Wagga Wagga, NSW.
